CODING NOTES:

If a student's program of studies comprises a thesis, dissertation, project or research and it involves tuition or supervision, this is NOT to be classed as  undertaking the course through examination only. 

The code of "E" is only to apply in the exceptional circumstances where a student does not engage in tuition and has no interaction with academic staff or supervisor, but is allowed to sit the examination for the course, or their past outputs or products are examined and deemed to meet the requirements of the course.
